Template review workflow

The states your template goes through and how to respond to reviewer feedback.

Every submission moves through a review lifecycle. Each transition triggers an email to you.

Tips
  • Pending: submitted and waiting for a reviewer. Usually reviewed within a few days.
  • Approved: live on /templates. You now earn 1 credit per cross-organization use.
  • Needs changes: the reviewer left notes. Edit your source carousel, then click Resubmit.
  • Refused: the template doesn't fit the catalog. You can submit a different carousel later.
  • Unpublished: a live template was taken down. The reviewer's reason shows up on My templates.

When you get a Needs changes note, edit the original carousel to address the feedback. The Resubmit button on My templates takes a fresh snapshot and flips the version back to Pending. The reviewer sees your previous iteration count so they can check your fix.

If you modify a carousel whose template is already live, you can submit the update as a new version. The previous version stays live until the new one is approved, with no downtime. If the update is refused, the original version keeps running.
